Great portrait photography is as much about relaxing the sitter and making them feel confident and photogenic as it is about lighting techniques and background-selection. So it's important not to rush and to give yourself time to relax and enjoy the session. This is why Vivid's portrait photography packages start at 1 hour and, for a unique 'Day in your Life' record, can stretch to an entire day.

You can choose to be captured in context, in your home or work environment, or in another location of your choice. You can also select your preferred combination of colour, black and white, sepia and spot colour and, within a week of the shoot, will be able to view an online gallery displaying all the best 50-600 shots (depending on the length of the shoot) from which to choose your absolute favourites.

If you’re looking to encapsulate and celebrate all you love most about your family and your life, then our 'Day in your Life' package will record, unobtrusively and in natural surroundings with your family and/or friends, all the spontaneous interactions, laughter and classic moments you share with your loved ones over the course of a whole day. A week after the shoot, I will come to you again to present all the most classic images and help you to choose your absolute favourites, select the complimentary enlargements you’d like for your mantlepiece and walls, and decide all the character and storytelling shots you'd like to see in your uniquely-designed, hardback printed family photobook.
